Mrs. Hibbert's Class News
Mrs. Hibbert's second graders painted a rain barrel for Paint the Rain sponsored by The Wabash River Enhancement Corporation. Their rain barrel will be displayed at businesses and public locations throughout the summer. It will come home to rest at Edgelea on September 20th! Their barrel was paid for by a generous grant from Tri Kappa Delta!
End-of-the-Year Cookout
Edgelea's All Pro-Dad's and the TPA are sponsoring a cookout for Edgelea students and their immediate family members. Parents and students are invited to attend the cookout Friday, May 31, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. This event is FREE for Edgelea families. Great food and great fun will be served! If you are willing to help, please email Mac Ritchie at street40@comcast.net. In case of rain, the event will be moved into the mulitpurpose room.
Be Sure to Come to the Honors Programs!
Every year, Edgelea has an honors programs for each grade and now recognizes EVERY student. Mark your calendars so you can attend the honors program for your child/children. All programs will take place in the multipurpose room.
Kindergarten: Tuesday, June 4th at 6:30 p.m.
Grades 1 and 2: Tuesday, June 4th at 1:15 p.m.
Grades 3 and 4: Monday, June 3rd at 1:15 p.m.
Grades 1 and 2: Tuesday, June 4th at 1:15 p.m.

Odds and Ends.......
- Many field trips are coming up. If you are interested in chaperoning a class field trip, please contact your child's teacher. All chaperones must have cleared a criminal history check by going to www.helplsc.com.
- Friday, May 10th is the last day that school breakfast will be served.
- All Edgelea School library books are due Friday, May 31, 2013.
- Last day of school is June 6, 2013.
- Registration for the 2013-2014 school year will take place August 1, 2013 from 12:00 - 7:00 p.m. and August 2, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please bring proof of residency, student's birth certificate and immunization records. The first day of school is AUGUST 13, 2013.
