Pumpkin Carving Contest
Edgelea will hold a contest on October 31st for the best carved pumpkin. Pumpkins must be carved already and at school by 8:30 am on October 31st. Pumpkins cannot be brought before that date. Tables will be set up in the gym for the pumpkins to be displayed all day. Pumpkins must be carved (not painted) and must be picked up at the end of the school day or they will be thrown away. Prizes will be awarded from our judges for the top 3 pumpkins from each group (K-2 and 3-4). Parents are invited to tour the display in the morning before school starts on October 31st. First place reward is a $25 gift card to Toys R Us. 2nd place = $20 gift card to Toys R Us. 3rd place = $15 gift card to Toys R Us.
Edgelea Night at Chuck E Cheese
Chuck E Cheese is hosting a fundraiser for Edgelea Elementary School from 3:00-9:00 p.m. November 6, 2014. Every dollar you spend on food and tokens helps earn money for our school! Bring your parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles and your neighbors! Hope to see you there for some food and fun!
FAMILY READING NIGHT
Family Reading Night - November 11th 6:00-7:30 pm
Edgelea will be hosting their annual Family Reading Night on Tuesday, November 11th. Come to school between 6:00-7:30p.m. to hear storytellers, play reading games, listen to guest readers, and listen to teachers do Reader's Theater! So come one, come all….to Family Reading Night!
HARLEM WIZARDS ARE COMING TO TOWN!
The Harlem Wizards are excited to be coming to Lafayette to play a game of trick basketball with teachers and administrators in our school district and our very own principal, Mrs. Clevenger! This evening of fun and laughter is being organized by Broncho Boys’ Basketball and is a FUN(d)raising event. The Harlem Wizards vs. Broncho Stampede basketball game will take place at Jeff High School November 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:00). Tickets are being sold in the Edgelea office for $8 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets at the door are $2 more, so buy your tickets in advance in our office.
